Our mission

Training a new generation of South Dakota organizers.

Organize SD is a South Dakota-based training initiative. We develop high-skill grassroots operatives who can build and run effective organizing programs for federal, state, and local races, then stay to lead in their own communities.

What success looks like by November 2028

  1. More trained organizers

Operatives placed on campaigns and community programs across the state.

  2. Stronger volunteer programs

Leadership pipelines that keep growing after the training weekend ends.

  3. Better voter contact

Higher-quality conversations, and more of them, up and down the ballot.

What we do

Skills that win elections

Every trainee leaves with the skills, tools, and relationships to run a real field program.

Who we are

Organizers who've done it before

A collective of former Obama organizers and battle-tested South Dakota operatives. We helped build the community organizing framework that won battleground states twice, and we're bringing it home.

Proven frameworks

Scaling voter contact through structured volunteer teams and the Snowflake model.

Local expertise

Deep roots in SD communities, so national best practices work for the 605.

“We're the people who were on the ground in 2008 and 2012, and we're bringing that same relentless organizing framework to South Dakota.”
The Organize SD collective

Now we're focused on 2028: training the next generation of South Dakota leaders to build permanent infrastructure that wins, neighborhood by neighborhood, town by town.
